Manage Opportunities

A real potential deal — the stage between a qualified Lead and an actual Project, tracked through a classic sales-pipeline progression.

Creating an Opportunity

1

Just a description is required

Only Description is required — everything else, including the Lead link, is optional. In practice, most get created from a Lead's own Opportunities tab, which pre-fills the connection. Panels: Opportunity (description, Lead, category, type, owner), Pipeline (Stage, Priority, Winning Probability %, planned start, forecast/actual close date, competitors), and Value & Bid (budget amount, estimated value, bid amount/type).

Working the pipeline

1

Stage, not Status

Opportunities move through Stage (a separate concept from a Lead's Status) — a real progression like Identify Decision Makers → Follow-up → Contract Sent → Closed-Won or Closed-Lost. Unlike Leads, there's no Kanban board for Opportunities — stage changes happen right on the record.

2

Win % and Forecast Close

The Opportunities grid shows Win % (Winning Probability) and Forecast Close right in the columns — useful for a quick pipeline-value read without opening every record.

3

What comes after

Once an Opportunity is genuinely won, the next real step is creating a Project — there's no automatic conversion button, it's a standalone creation (see the Projects guide).
