Timesheets

Weekly time entry by Project and Category, with a real submit → approve/reject workflow — not just a spreadsheet.

1

Create a timesheet

Side menu → Staff → TimesheetsCreate Timesheet. Pick the week (defaults to the current week) and save. If you're not an admin, it's automatically your own timesheet — you'll only ever see your own on this list. Admins can create and view a timesheet for anyone.

2

Log hours

Add Row for each Project/Category/Payroll Item combination you worked on, then fill in hours across the 7 day columns. A running Total column keeps your weekly count in view as you go.

A row only saves once Project, Category, and Payroll Item are all chosen — hours entered against an incomplete row won't be kept.
3

Submit for approval

When the week is done, click Submit. This locks the timesheet — you can no longer edit it yourself once it's submitted, and it moves from the "Open" tab to "Locked" on the list, awaiting a manager's review.

4

Approve or send it back (managers)

Once locked, a manager sees Approve and Reject buttons. Approve moves it to the "Approved" tab. Reject reopens it for the employee to edit and resubmit — there's no separate rejection-reason field, so pair a Reject with a quick message to the employee about what needs fixing.
