Cross-Tab Analysis

An ad-hoc pivot table over Projects — mirrors the old ImproveBuild desktop app's Analysis utility. One screen, 432 possible combinations, no report has to be pre-built.

Pick Row and Column

Side menu → Cross-Tab Analysis. Choose a dimension for Row and one for Column (the same six choices are available for both):

Choose what to total

Set Total Type (SUM, COUNT, or MAX) and Total On:

Invoice Total Balance Remaining Contract Amount Payment Received

Set a date range (filters on Project Origin Date), then Run Analysis.

Read the result

A grid with row/column/grand totals, plus a bar chart of the same data. Click any row to re-chart just that row as a pie breakdown by column — useful for drilling from "which Refer Type brings in the most Contract Amount overall" down to "...and which Project Types make up that one Refer Type's total."

The math behind "hundreds of combinations": 6 Row choices × 6 Column choices × 4 measures × 3 total types = 432 distinct pivots, before even factoring in the date range — all from this one screen, not 432 separate built reports.
