Cost Database

Your priced catalog of materials, labor, subs, and equipment — build it once, then pull items straight into any Project's Estimate.

1

Create a database

Side menu → Project Management → Cost Database → new database. You can keep more than one — a separate price book per region or division, for example.

2

Add Cost Items

Each item gets an Item Code, Description, Category, and Unit of Measure, priced either as separate Material/Labor/Sub/Equipment unit costs or a single Total Only cost — whichever you enter first locks out the other, since an item is priced one way or the other, not both.

3

Bundle items into Assemblies

A Cost Assembly groups several Cost Items under one Item Code — useful for anything you price and install as a set, so an estimator picks one assembly instead of hunting down five individual items.

4

Use it on an Estimate

From any Project's Estimate, pick items or whole assemblies straight out of your catalog — a category tree with checkboxes and quantities, no retyping descriptions or prices. Markup starts at a standard 25% on insert and is fully editable per line afterward.

Margin fields on the database itself: only Admin and Profit margin actually factor into a Project's rolled-up job size total. Material/Labor/Sub/Equipment/Total margin percentages are stored for reference but don't drive pricing anywhere today.
